Ruby Que is an installation artist and experimental filmmaker who occasionally performs, writes, and carves. They use site-specific video projections to open portals and create hauntings. Many works consider absences, which they have tried (and often failed) to fill, embrace, or expand. They live and work in Chicago, the unceded ancestral lands of the Council of Three Fires: Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi,At EBF, they are reviewing and collaging 35mm slide film they shot in Washington earlier this year, reading stolen books, and chasing ghosts.
